As I noted in my last blog, I was thrilled to have work accepted into several additional exhibits.

The first, above, was in the Middlesex County, NJ Senior Art Show. This annual event is the preliminary exhibit leading into one on the statewide level. The first place awardees in each category go onto the state exhibit which will open in late September. I was honored to have this photograph, which I titled “Dancing Through the Flames”, selected in the Professional Photography category.

Another from my Dance Movement series will be in the Monmouth Museum’s Through the Lens exhibit. This one is titled “Dancing Through the Clouds”.

There is a trend recently for more virtual gallery shows. I saw a call for an exhibit titled 40 over 40, curated by Elizabeth Avedon, at the South [X] Southeast photogallery. This image, titled “Spin” is also from the Dance Movement series, this time with a nude art model.

A photographer friend told me about an exhibit call at a location in Rahway, NJ, close to the studio at which I am a member, called Atelier Rosal for an exhibit titled “Figures”. These three abstracts were accepted into that exhibit. Please click on each to see the full photograph.

The last exhibit, for now, will be presented by the New Jersey Media Center at the Watchung Arts Center later in the Fall. This will be an open themed exhibit of each accepted artist’s best work, Again from my Dance Movement series this is called “Rising to the Peak”.

As you might gather from all of these shows, the series has an exciting following. I will be submitting to more calls soon and hope to begin working on a self-published book of the Dance Movement work soon.
